One of the latest releases from Microgaming, Lost Vegas is a slot par excellence, offering a long-needed breath of fresh air. Although the zombie apocalypse genre is one of the most exploited ones, not to say abused, here you have a very interesting twist as it is set in glamorous Vegas. You get to choose which side you’re on – the game has Survivors and Zombies modes with different symbols but the same payouts. Both modes are played over 5 reels and 243 ways to win at a betting range of £0.3 – £45. On the survivors’ team, you will see a man, a woman, a high-roller holding a gun, a terrified girl, and a golf player who has chosen his club as a weapon to fight off the blood-thirsty creatures. If your macabre side prevails and you decide to cross into the realm of the undead, you will play with the zombie versions of an Elvis impersonator, Johnny Depp’s character from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas – Raoul Duke, a deranged-looking nurse that takes fear of shots to a whole new level, a showgirl, and a couple who obviously had their Vegas wedding cut short by the zombie outbreak. The lower-value symbols are the card symbols A to 10. Terrifyingly Good Bonus Features

Lost Vegas is packed with bonus features that are different for the two modes but equally fun and rewarding. All of them are activated by the Hazard symbol. In the Survivors mode, three or more of them will activate the free spins round which comes with the Stash feature. During this round, all card symbols are removed from the reels and you are granted a cash reward for each one that adds to your stash which you will receive when the feature has ended, and that happens after all the A to 10 symbols have been stashed. Playing Zombie mode and hitting three (or more) scatters gives you access to the Zombie Free Spins round where you further benefit from the infection feature – stacked zombie symbols will spread the deadly virus to other reels, turning wilds into stacked wilds. The round is over when all reels have been infected or if you’ve played 50 free spins before all reels are covered with undead symbols, in which case you will receive an extra reward.
