Gameplay

Set in a snowy woodland in Scandinavia, this beautiful slot from Play’n GO will delight you with its multitude of special features. It features a five-reel, four-row structure with 40 active paylines. The paytable is topped by the wild (in both senses) lynx, worth 625 coins for five, this fellow will also replace any symbol except for the scatter. The lynx is joined by his neighbours the reindeer, bear, wolf and owl along with the traditional playing card symbols ace to nine. The scatter symbol is represented by the Northern Lights and spinning three of these will trigger the bonus game. The awesome bonus feature wheel will appear and select one of seven bonus games for you – most commonly the Wild North Explorer game will be chosen but other bonus games can be activated through this game. During this bonus, the reels will be replaced by tiles bearing different prizes, links to other bonus games and red x symbols that end the game. These tiles will be flipped over and scrambled, and you will be able to choose as many tiles as it takes before you select a red x. Like a game of memory, you never got the chance to remember. Other bonus games are modelled after the animal symbols, and all offer something a bit different, usually involving free spins and some reel remodelling.

Conclusion – A Wild Ride

We love a good bonus game and Play’n GO have gone out of their way to keep us entertained by offering seven here! This slot offers something a bit out of the ordinary in terms of theme and this twilight forest has been executed particularly well. The name of the game is a play on Wild West (it took us a really long time to get that) and just like the West, you’ll find the locals reigning free, unchecked. We had a lot of fun trying to trigger all the bonus games, but it was tough going. The wheel really does seem tipped towards the Wild North Explorer game, not that we’re complaining, it was the best game we tried. Which bonus game was your favourite?
