Dictionary.com defines ‘slammin’ as ‘excellent; superb; cool, funky, fresh’. Unfortunately, iSoftBet did not read this definition before creating this game. Slammin’7s has a lot of unusual features; it is framed from a very low angle which can make you feel quite uncomfortable while looking up at the game and the tiles do not spin like reels but flip individually which feels very awkward. Also a bit odd, is the reel structure, which appears normal until you notice that on reels four and five only the middle tile changes, this is where your multiplier and additive symbols will appear – these we like. The game has a rather unique 27 paylines and, perhaps unsurprisingly, the symbols in this game are all sevens or bars. It is only possible to spin three of a symbol to have it pay due to the slot’s structure which can limit the payouts (the highest is 300 coins). This is where the multiplier (up to 10x) and additive (up to +500) symbols on reels four and five come in to play, offering the chance to really boost your winnings. Sadly, the soundtrack is electronicky disco, constantly interrupted by the whooping, air rushing ambience of the tiles flipping.

You might have guessed by now that this is not our favourite game from iSoftBet. We must admit, however, that the inventiveness of multiplier and additive symbols is exciting, and we appreciate that the developers are giving something new and creative a go, which is critical to the development of the industry. We just cannot wrap our heads around the discomfort we feel when looking at the game due to the discombobulating visuals. Sorry Slammin’7s, it’s a no from us.
